Property photography in Scotland often throws up little gems. In a small village near Dunfermline in Fife, I was asked to photograph a property that would soon be coming to market for sale.
The said village was Saline, the property in question was a stunningly designed 3 bedroom detached bungalow. Take a look below.
Exterior views with Blue skies
The reality is living in Scotland, that we seldom get those welcoming blue skies. More often than not, we get a shade of grey, slightly dull or overcast skies that make a property look dark or depressing.
With Gavin Duncan Photography we swap all exterior skies for inviting blue skies free of charge!!
Evenly lit rooms
When photographing properties, I like to use flash to help make rooms look bright and airy. Using flash for interiors also helps any colour casts from lights vanish, giving nice clean and crisp whites. No more yellow walls from lamps or over head lights.
The property story
Showing open plan living and connecting spaces helps a prospective buyer see how all the rooms connect within a property. This open plan living space with connecting dining room shows the flow of the home perfectly.

Aerial Photography to stand out
Quite often, a home on a larger plot of land or a home which is near the seafront can largely benefit from aerial photography. Photographing a property from a totally different perspective can make your listing jump out from the crowd and increase viewings.
